GUIDELINES - Paint the Town 2006
Be sure to check in with the site coordinator at each location as specified in the "Locations" list below. If you bring along an artist friend to paint, he/she is expected to pay the fee. Works do not have to be completed on location, but should be started on location. You may not bring along artwork to sell on location, but you may bring a portfolio, photo album and business cards. You may not solicit sales, but if someone asks you, that is a different story. Use discretion. You may not block booths or business entrances. Ask permission of the owner to paint a recognizable private residence. Use a drop-cloth when warranted. ALWAYS ask permission before painting, sketching, photographying subjects such as children, residences, businesses; be considerate and think how you'd feel if someone camped outside to paint your house or took pictures of your children or grandchildren in the park! Identification badges will be given to you to wear for all 8 locations. You may stay beyond hours posted. Dusk and nighttime scenes are fine - as long as you are legal and considerate! |
